LEPIDONECTES

TRIPLEFINS

Moderately elongate; large cirrus over eye; teeth on sides of roof of mouth; preoperculum and operculum scaly; 3 dorsal fins; pelvic fins joined by membrane for at least 1/3 of length of outer ray; lateral line in 2 sections, 1st section with pored scales, 2nd with notched scales.

This genus has 3 species, all endemic to our region.
